Hi my name is Makaila, I’m the owner of From The Hanger. I have always had a love for fashion but I disliked the world of fast fashion that is producing today’s “affordable” clothing. So I found a way around it, thrift what others have already bought, used (or not used), and disposed of. These pieces that for whatever reason were no longer wanted or needed by their previous owner I loved so dearly and could still wear 10’s or even 100’s of times! I found a way to love fashion and express myself vividly with clothing and accessories while limiting the impacts on our beautiful Earth.

I didn’t stop there, I began buying pieces of furniture and home decorations (I have a LOVE for mirrors). Before I knew it I was buying second hand pots and containers for my plants too. Second hand vases, previously loved art, champagne flutes, and even vintage jewelry! I am team #secondhand and love that I get to be a conscious consumer.

And that’s where From The Hanger was started. People started asking me to look for items for them, overalls, cool shoes and purses, vintage wear… and then I realized I had a talent for finding pieces that others would love and wear too. Now the whole world can buy second hand, right From The Hanger.
